The Waimate March Hare Motorcycle Rally is held in the Waimate Showgrounds (click for map). Follow the signs from SH1 and SH82. The site is within easy walking distance of Waimate and we also run a free shuttle bus at regular intervals to the various hotels and motels etc around the town. Sorry no Eftpos on site so bring plenty of cash or catch the shuttle to a money machine in town.
Gates open on the Friday at 9am but camping sites will be available from Thursday afternoon if you want to set up early. More and more people are coming on the Friday it's a great night for a catch up.
We have a licensed bar on site. The drinks are CHEAP and COLD.
Please no BYO at the rally. Our liquor license conditions do not allow BYO alcohol on-site and also all persons under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times while on the March Hare site!
We have a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks and water, as well as our legendary range of excellent food available at all times.
No cars are allowed on the Rally site but there is plenty of parking for support vehicles opposite the site. You can unload gear at the entry gate and will ferry your gear to your camp site for you.
